Day 83- Quasi-uh-oh--Part I

How's yer alignment?


While this image may have seemed a tad severe when you were younger, it's not so uncommon anymore.

Eww!

You may have been taught that this sort of postural pooch-screwing is a result of you not putting enough calcium in your body. And then you end up like this:



You been taught wrong. 

The HUMP, or hyperkyphosis, isn't a result of you shunning dairy or your gender. Nope. I'm going to tell you something that may blow your mind, or you may think I'm a hack. But here it is:

It's from a lack of you moving properly, regularly and it's from wearing the wrong shoes. Notice the pumps the hunchback old lady is wearing above. (ha!) In fact, osteoporosis doesn't cause the dowager's hump, but is instead caused by it. 

Huh?

It's true. 

See, your bones are able to regenerate. You know this. New cells are constantly being generated in your bones, thereby INCREASING their density, if you load the bones properly.

Which most of us are NOT doing. 

And that's enough for today. This blog post will continue tomorrow, so I can further blow your mind, get your body out of those positive-heeled shoes and heal your pain with better alignment. Until then, keep an open mind and wiggle your toes.
